Like our 3–5 Program, we use the Handwriting Without Tears curriculum in our preschool activities. This hands-on, multisensory program combines explicit instruction with guided practice to develop pre-writing, printing, vocabulary, and letter recognition skills. Through engaging materials and activities, children strengthen essential fine motor and early literacy skills while building confidence and readiness for future learning.

We recognize play as a powerful tool for learning. Our balanced program combines structured preschool experiences with play-based, child-centered discovery. Through thoughtfully designed activities, environments, materials, and interactions, we nurture children's natural curiosity and encourage them to ask questions, explore ideas, experiment, solve problems, investigate, and discover how the world around them works.

Both art and preschool activities are offered in small groups to support each child's individual learning needs. Each child has their own set of materials, allowing for active participation and hands-on learning. Our educators work alongside children as partners, using observation and scaffolding to encourage new skills, build confidence, and extend learning through thoughtfully planned experiences.

Circle Time is a cherished part of our daily routine at Echo Childcare, where children and educators come together to sing, share, learn, and enjoy stories. This large-group experience fosters a strong sense of community while promoting trust, kindness, and respect.

During Circle Time, children practice listening, turn-taking, sharing ideas, and participating as part of a group. They develop important social-emotional skills, including cooperation, empathy, self-expression, and respect for themselves and others, while learning to work together toward shared goals.
